Plotxy allows the user, either interactively at the terminal, or though scripts, to create simple graphs in the x-y plane. It gives the user complete of control of many aspects of the graph (eg, picture size, text font, line weight, math and Greek symbols, color palette specification). Color produces contour diagrams, with Contour producing a B/W equivalent. Magmap maps magnetic field components using spherical harmonic representations. PSD estimates the Power Spectral Density of a time series. Cross calculates frequency domain functions from a pair of input time series.

GPLOT and XYPLOT Plotting Libraries
GPLOT can be used to plot variables from inside any Fortran program. This subroutine is not intended to replace other graphics packages, or plotx, but to rather allow the user to look at arrays of data in the middle of fortran codes. XYPLOT is also not intended to replace plotxy, but to work as a user-friendly interactive program, in which plots of data files can be created from the command line. It is interactive in the sense that the user can input some parameters and the program can interpret the parameters given and create a plot of the desired data file.
